Anything contraindicated for deep tissue, or myofascial release, will be contraindicated for receiving Fasciashi in class.
The deep compression provided by this modality could be dangerous for those still recovering from invasive procedures or ailments. If you are currently pregnant, trying to get pregnant, have recently had breast/gluteal/calf implants and/or some select surgeries within the last 9 months, we regret that you cannot attend the seminar.
It is not our intention to discourage or discriminate against anyone from taking this class, we must focus on a quality workshop experienced by all and maintain the safety standards of the modality.” - Jeni Spring, Owner of Heeling Sole Barefoot Massage Therapy

You’ll need to exfoliate and hydrate your feet into tools that are as soft as your hands – and it’s best to do as much as that as you can BEFORE class, so that your student partner can focus on giving you feedback about the strokes, rather than only noticing rough spots on your heels.
So, let's focus on softening them! Give your feet some attention every day in the shower with a pumice stone or foot file. Though pedicures are fantastic if you choose to do so, your feet will still need extra love in between.

“We are not here to advise what is right for your massage practice in regards to “what to do about Covid-19” – we are here to help equip you with the skills and techniques that enable you to provide barefoot massage therapy. There are professionals far more qualified than us to guide you through your back-to-practice process and advise you on business procedures, career plans, or personal choices during this pandemic. We are following the science, trying to lead by example, and are staying within our scope of practice as massage therapy educators.
In alignment with the CDC and FSMTB’s guidelines, our instructors will be implementing detailed screening, cleaning, and disinfecting protocols that we will teach you during our classes, and practice daily to establish a repeatable routine.” - Jeni Spring, Owner of Heeling Sole Barefoot Massage Therapy

“We can also accept payments in smaller increments after your initial 50% deposit/retainer has been paid – as long as the full balance is paid for by the 1st day of class. Just log into your student profile on our MindBody system, and make a payment to your account. We accept all major credit cards.
Gift Cards can be issued for tuition! If a friend or family (or amazing client) wants to gift you the gift of barefoot massage training, they can click here and purchase any dollar amount with their credit card, and send it to you in an emailable gift card eligible to be spent on tuition or certification.
You can pay by check or cash in class- so save your tips and bring them with you!
If you need to make your initial tuition retainer payment by PayPal or check – please contact us to be invoiced. Out of fairness to all other enrollees, your spot in class will not be officially reserved until the check or e-payment has cleared.
If you know you need a few months to save up and pay the cost of class tuition, just look forward into the future on our calendar, and choose a training date far enough out for you to make realistic payments that fit your budget.” - Jeni Spring, Owner of Heeling Sole Barefoot Massage Therapy

“No. The Center for Barefoot Massage does not, and will not, teach barefoot massage techniques through webinars, or e-learning online video Ashiatsu training.
Even after the pandemic when everything is pivoted to online training, we continue to believe in the value of live training, and we will not be offering any technique courses online.
We want to train therapists in person, look them in the eyes, inspire them, and pass our knowledge onto the next generation of barefoot massage therapists.” - Jeni Spring, Owner of Heeling Sole Barefoot Massage Therapy

“By attending our training workshops you will be a part of our professional family, and you’ll represent our work with every step you take.
As such, we have quality assurance and maintenance considerations to prevent any misrepresentation of the work itself, and to halt any unauthorized instructional programs. It is essential that the purity and safety features of our myofascial barefoot massage work, as well as the high-quality teaching standards established for the Center for Barefoot Massages curriculum, be upheld and honored for the continued respect of this lineage, as well as for the growth and support of our loyal FasciAshi practitioners.
This training we provide does not qualify or certify you to teach our protocols, sequences, techniques or methods in any environment, in any capacity. Attending our workshops or acquiring our materials does not qualify you, or give permission to teach any aspect of the technique, or present the FasciAshi format.” - Jeni Spring, Owner of Heeling Sole Barefoot Massage Therapy

“The cancellation policy becomes effective once you sign up for class and pay either your 50% retainer or payment-in-full to hold your place in said class. By signing up for one of our classes, your 50% retainer or payment-in-full retainer serves as a commitment to training, that you agree to the Training and Use Agreement, and you agree to the Cancellation Policy.
There are no refunds for courses attended, even if you do not complete any portion of the class for any reason, except when we cancel a class, if you or the training site are involved in a state-mandated pandemic shut-down, or you provide positive Corona-Virus test results.
Non-refundable retainers of a minimum 50% are required to hold your space in a class. We hold a spot in our small training centers for you. For this reason, if you cancel, all monies paid will be retained by the Center for Barefoot Massage to offset the loss of business to the instructor of the Center for Barefoot Massage. Your retainer will not be refunded if you cancel out of your selected workshop dates. Retainers cannot be transferred to other attendees. You must meet all prerequisites for each class within 15 days of the class, or you will be removed from the roster with no refund or Roll-Over option.
The Center for Barefoot Massage reserves the right to cancel a class up to 14 days before the start date. This may happen should there not be enough interest – class minimum is 4 students, or 6 for offsite/travel classes. In the rare event that a cancellation initiated by us happens, we will either refund all tuition paid towards the associated class or transfer your retainer and registration into the next class of your convenience (class must be taken within 18 months). Classes are not guaranteed to happen – as class minimums, pandemics, and life events may interfere. The Center for Barefoot Massage will always give ample notice to any party impacted by any class cancellation, and will follow the company cancellation policies.
This applies to cancellations made by the student up to 15 days before class: If you need to move to another class date, your retainer will be applied to another class offered by the Center for Barefoot Massage. Your initial retainer will be held for up to 18 months from the date you originally made a payment, and monies expire if not used by then. Any notice less than 15 days is not eligible for rollover – unless the situation can be documented as an injury that prevents you from giving/receiving the massage techniques presented in class, a death in the immediate family, pandemic-related reasons (see COVID-19 secton below), or weather prohibiting travel. Always contact your instructor as soon as these circumstances occur.
This applies to cancellations made by the student within 14 days of the start of class: Only in the event of proper documentation of injury, pregnancy, death in the immediate family, extreme weather prohibiting travel (where the airports and highways are closed) or Pandemic issues (see COVID-19 section below) will your retainer will be allowed to be rolled over without a fee to a workshop at a later date. This special consideration will be allowed one time by the discretion of the instructor. Any notice less than 15 days is considered a “Late Cancellation” and is not eligible for rollover – unless the situation can be documented as mentioned above (Corona Virus, injury, death in the immediate family, or weather prohibiting travel.) Otherwise late cancellation and no-shows may cause a forfeit of the Retainer Fee, or at the descretion of the instructor, could incur a $75 roll over fee, paid to the instructor separately from any tuition payments.
This applies if a student no-show’s a class without any notification to the instructor or the Center for Barefoot Massage. Just like how this scenario would be handled in a massage office, the full tuition rate will be applied. No roll-over’s or refunds are eligible in any instance of a no-show. Please be courteous and professional by letting us know ASAP if you cannot attend class, so that we may open your space up for others. Your instructors’ contact information is always provided upon registration, and you can easily find multiple avenues to contact The Center for Barefoot Massage through our website and social media.” - Jeni Spring, Owner of Heeling Sole Barefoot Massage Therapy
